GFM is an empowering grassroots member network and agency of innovative and sustainable food and agri stakeholders. We are farmers, chefs, scientists, nutritionist, entrepreneurs and more, all highlighting the potential of Ghanaian food. Our talented team, movers and freelancers are different stakeholders in the food, agri and cultural sector and therefore we come up with a broad scope of innovative contemporary solution to make Ghana’s food system future proof.
We believe that Ghana’s food is of great cultural and social value, has (socio) economic potential and keep or make Ghanaians healthier. Right now the system is pushing in the wrong direction. We want to build a food system in Ghana that is fair and future proof for Ghanaians and our environment.
By celebrating, preserving and redefining Ghanaian food culture and cuisine that encourages local production, local value add, local employment and entrepreneurship, healthier consumption and healthy ecosystems.
We design, execute and advise on events, campaigns and projects around gastronomy, farming and food production, youth employment, nutrition, biodiversity and food systems. Using a fresh, contemporary, grassroots and culturally appropriate approach- with a strong focus on young Ghanaians and professionals in the food and agri space.
We translate stories, visions or messages into concepts and food experiences. We do this with our network in every corner of the food system to design and execute concepts and events.
Through various channels, we create awareness around, and engage, Ghanaians in the future of Ghana's food.
